I just came across this lovely video entitled, The Dash. I hope you'll enjoy it's powerful message. Click HERE to watch.

You are all an important part of my "dash."

    I hope you're having a wonderful week!

  • Ah, Alex that is wonderful. I have never come across that before but it is so Thurgood Marshall. That will be a keeper. I would love to know the source/context.
  • While doing some research for a teaching project I'm working on, I found this quote. Enjoy

    By Thurgood Marshall

"What is the quality of your intent?

Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. The emotion is the energy that motivates. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent.

My intent will be evident in the results."
  • I've been spending some of my time lately doing free work for no budget school and college stations- liners, imaging and PSA recordings. One of the schools in the philipines sent me a thank you email the other day saying that they appreciate it and hope I find the time to keep helping those in need as time goes by because it will all be returned to me. I'm a firm believer in Karma.
  • Hey, Penny - I very much appreciated your latest Food For Thought entry. It is a lesson that clicked in my brain many years before I allowed it to be an integral part of me. Its a shame how that happens.
For many years now, I have had this quote posted above my desk (although I no longer remember who it is from):

"How people treat you in the world is their karma.
How you react is your Karma"

Wishing you all a warmer heart and a lighter burden.
