  • A tip for life - find out who you are, get to know that person and like them. I realize we are actors (in Bill's words, For all the worlds a stage...) The trick is to find out who you are deep inside, what makes you tick and never forget that person. We've all made mistakes, done things we aren't proud of, but I learned a while ago I wouldn't change anything in the past. I became who I am because of the good choices and the poor ones. Even the poor choices taught me something. Learn to like yourself for who you are and enjoy the enrichment it brings to your life.
  • I too have been busy and away, but check in from time to time to get a "different perspective". It is easy to become consumed in our own trials and tribulations. It is easy to feel sorry for ourselves and think so many have it better, but one thing I've learned from watching my girlfriend (and best friend) contend with her brother's stage 4 brain cancer and recent stroke at the young age of 34... is that it could always be worse. Yes, I have perfectly valid points of stress in my life. However, to focus on those things that are relatively minor only helps to shape my own reality. Instead, I try to focus on the blessings of my life, of which I have many. When I become consumed by the shortcomings in my life, I need only open my eyes a bit wider to see how difficult even the smallest of things can be for him to accomplish on a daily basis.
When I focus on the many good things I do have in my life, like this beautiful woman I can trully say I both love and admire; my entire reality changes...even if only for a moment. Kevin (below) has it right, we only get one life...the things we choose to give credence to, the things we allow our minds to dwell on, trully shape and manifest our physical realities. My advice, good advice that I too find it hard to follow; is to contemplate the many good things each of our lives hold. In holding tight to those things we can find solice and peace...and our lives and loved ones will better off for it.
Keep believing, hold onto hope...life is a indeed a roller-coaster. Just as quickly and suddenly as the track drops...it again rises.
  • "A lot of little things can make a difference."

Thanks for the very thought I, personally, needed this moment!

You may be able to see the wide grin on my face, as I edit the thought to "One little thing can make a difference" to get things going, because I **know** I can accomplish one little thing! Then, it's on to the next little thing .. and on .. and on...

  • Hi Everyone,

I have been away for a while but have kept up with all of the great posts from our group! I think we all go through the "What the hell am I doing?" stage of this journey and when you stop and think about that question, it can really apply to our lives as a whole.

We get one shot at this life and if you are pursuing your dreams with every ounce of energy then you can handle any and every roadblock that comes at you! At least that's the one thought that puts a smile on my face each day.

    Best Wishes to All,
  • Beautiful AND humbling...let's not forget while we are in the comfort of our home studios, there is NO shortage of people who are wanting.

    Thanks again Penny,
    Love and peace,
  • Food 4 Thought

Hi all! Last week's Food 4 Thought was about taking a "Media Vacation" - staying away from the news of the world for a short while.

I suggested that you don't have to hear about all the ills of the world EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY.

But this week, I'm giving you a short video that shows you some ways you can make little differences in the world that mean a lot. The doing of little things can help you feel a bit more in control of the circumstances that surround us - and can possibly change your lives and the lives of others for the better. We are all so blessed - perhaps it's time to spread those blessings around a bit. Just a thought.

I hope you enjoy it! CLICK HERE TO WATCH

    Big Hugs,

  • Yet again, you've made me smile - a really big smile (with just a glimmer of a happy tear). You are wonderful people and your positive comments to each other are just as wonderful.

Thanks for being you, my amazing positive thinkers!

  • It's funny how this topic has come up lately. No other place on earth do we see the result of an "interview" the way we do in media. We interview for jobs and don't land them and never think twice about who got the job over us. The truth is, some people NAIL the audition and when I hear it on air I snap my fingers and say "OH" Yaaaaahhh that's how it should be read!! Other times I say "WTF? I had a better read than that"...and other times it sounds JUST LIKE me and the choices I made. Truth is, we need blinders and thick skin. We can for sure be POSITIVE and happy that someone working as hard as we are got a gig. There truly is work for everyone and persistence is our only ally. Luckily we can use eachother to bounce this off of and know we are not alone, rather all fighting the good fight. Mark, keep up your excellent work. I am proud to know you're landing jobs and advancing. I find encouragement from you!
  • I love this group!! Thanks Mark for the encouragement. I will heed your advice and not lose sight of my dreams!
    Have a great day!
