I've cast hundreds of computer games and directed thousands of actors. Voice acting is much more demanding than voice overs. Happy to help anyone interested.

  • Regarding websites, I'm also trying to get my own up. Word in the street says more people are steering away from Flash sites and keeping it as simple and easy to download as possible. As a casting director, I seldom rely on demos to tell me if someone is right for my game voicing talent pool, but I do listen to demos if I must, so navigating to those is key.
Branding and imaging is important, but often if you're really diverse, it's hard to come up with a single brand. I've noticed a lot of brands that are pretty silly, so although many people tell you it's important, what's more important is to have connections, a decent home studio or access to one quickly, have a lot of diversity, know how to voice ACT not just talk and to be able to turn on a dime and alter and suggest new voices in an instant.
national clients might also impress those in the production world, so it doesn't hurt to highlight a few of these on your site.
  • Greg Thanks for asking that question. I just made my new site and have flash but I did make it go to the homepage quickly. Any feed back from you guys would be great. I am using templates since I am no web design guru.

  • So I'm tweaking my website, big time.
I like a cool, moving FLASH site. But it takes longer to load.
Does a casting director or a client looking to see what I can offer them want to see a cool flash site with movement and music,
or should it be stagnant, and look as cool as it can be??
    Thanks all...
